Privacy

What we collect

• Your name — so you know whose account is whose. Never shown to other players.
• Your email — it is how you sign in, and the only way to reset a forgotten password.
• Your phone number — optional. Leave it blank and nothing changes. We only use it if you separately tick the box asking for text reminders.
• A username — this one is public. Pick something you are happy for your whole ward to see.
• Your password — stored encrypted by our sign-in provider. Nobody, including us, can read it.
• Your picks and scores — the game itself.

What other players can see

Only your username, shown as yourname-A and yourname-B, your score, and — once you press Submit — the picks you made.

Never your real name, your email, or your phone number. That is enforced in the database itself, not just hidden on the screen.

Your picks stay private until you submit them. Before that, nobody can see them at all.

What we never do

• We never sell your information.
• We never share it with sponsors, advertisers, or anyone else.
• We only email or text you if you ticked the box asking us to. Everyone gets password reset emails when they ask for one — that is it.
• We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics.

If that ever changes, we would ask you to opt in first. We would not apply a new rule to information you already gave us under this one.

Text messages

We do not send texts today. If you ticked the box asking for reminders, we may text you about Conference Madness — a handful of messages around each conference weekend, never marketing for anything else.

Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop them, or HELP for help. You can also untick the box in your account at any time. Consent to texts is never required to play.

Players under 13

You need to be 13 or older to create an account. This is not because we do not want younger players — it is because collecting a child's name and email carries legal obligations we are not set up to meet.

Under 13 and want to play? Ask a parent to create the account. Every player gets two entries, so one of theirs can be yours. We collect nothing about you at all that way.

Keeping it, and deleting it

We keep your account and picks so the leaderboard still makes sense between conferences and you do not have to start over in April.

Ask us to delete your account and we will remove your name, email, phone and picks. Scores already published stay on past leaderboards under your username.
